TOP REGGAE ARTISTS – WAYNE WONDER ALONG WITH MICHAEL PALMER & SAMMY DREAD AND LOCAL BANDS SET TO IGNITE THIRD ANNUAL MY CARIBBEAN EXPO IN BOSTON, JULY 25 – 26, 2015
BOSTON, MA – June 1, 2015 – Top reggae artist “Wayne Wonder” from the Caribbean island of Jamaica and Sammy Dread and Michael Palmer are the top international acts confirmed for the third annual “MY CARIBBEAN, ONE WORLD EXPO” to be held Saturday and Sunday, July 25 – 26, 2015 at City Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.
Organized by Authentic Caribbean Foundation, the expo will provide patrons with information about the wide range of vacation options in the Caribbean, highlighting their unique offering including arts, adventure, culture, cuisine and music. CTO member countries along with influential players from the hotel, airline, attraction, car rental, and allied industries are being targeted to participate in the expo.
The expo begins at 11:00 am with the entertainment package featuring Wayne Wonder set to begin at 4:00 pm.
Reggae and dancehall artist in his native Jamaica, Wayne Wonder found broader acclaim in the United States as a master of many styles, including hip-hop and rap, with his 2003 Atlantic release, No Holding Back. Wonder first had success in Jamaica with his albums Schizophrenic and Da Vibe, the latter of which enjoyed extensive airplay throughout the Caribbean. Wonder has also collaborated with other artists, including J’son of the group Soul for Real, Foxy Brown, and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of the group TLC.
The entertainment showcase will also include performances Sammy Dread, Michael Palmer, AC Takeuchi, Castafari, Imojah & Skylight Band, PanNeubean Steel band and DJ Ike Luv plus many more, is expected to entertain and excite patrons with a variety of hits and dance moves.
It is hoped that this expo will assist increase the awareness of our learning disability program and persons residing in the New England region will come out and support the event, donate a children book and learn more about Caribbean tourism product and services.
The event will serve as a benefit for the Boston based charity Authentic Caribbean Foundation.
